Jiří Kára in his underwear holding a beer

ABOUT THE GAME

Jiří Kára Simulator is a linear story-driven FPS set in Prague at the turn of the millennium. Inspired by classics like Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, and Half-Life — but instead of demons and aliens, you face a hangover trip through Prague's underworld.

You wake up in a dumpster in Žižkov. You are Jiří Kára. Your head is pounding from the hangover of the century and there's only one goal — find Blanka. Your journey takes you through iconic Prague locations, from Žižkov pubs through Vítkov to the dark alleys of the city center. Along the way, you meet bizarre characters, solve absurd situations, and try to survive as things spiral out of control.

The game combines frenetic first-person combat with story elements, dark humor, and the authentic atmosphere of Czech underground culture. No sci-fi weapons — your arsenal consists of civilian improvisation: a rake, beer bottles, or a pigeon.

WORLD & ATMOSPHERE

Prague, year 2000. The era of dial-up internet, Nokia phones, and smoky pubs. The game faithfully captures the atmosphere of the Czech capital at the turn of the millennium — from the grimy streets of Žižkov to the monumental Vítkov, from night bars to abandoned cemeteries.

The visual style combines retro low-poly aesthetics with modern lighting in Unreal Engine 5. The result is a unique atmosphere that evokes nostalgia for classic FPS games while feeling fresh and original.
